Have you ever dreamed of being just like Jack Bauer but the closest thing you have to a real gun is a 12V cordless driver? Yeah me too. But now thanks to the Pro-Fit Carry Systems Holsters, we can dream a little more accurately.
Makita has announced some new 12-volt max tools, and pretty much completes an upgrade to their entire 12V line. Of course they could still always expand on their line, and that would be just fine with us. Some of the new tools we have seen already, such as the FD02W Drill/Driver and the SH01W Circular Saw that make up the LCT307 kit. The other new tools in the line seem to only have minor updates over the previous models. Power wise the specs appear to be the same as previous models, so it probably doesn't make since to upgrade if you own an older model, however, some of the new models are lighter and smaller.

In an effort to better organize my home workspace I decided that I needed to get some of my non-work tools out of boxes/bags and into places where I could more easily access the ones I use most. My solution was simple, and probably the same solution that many of you use, pegboard. A full sheet of pegboard is cheap, and with the right hooks and attachments, you can organize a good portion of your tools. Next all I needed was pegboard hooks. I have always looked at the Festool MFT (Multi-Function Table) as great little work table, but not practical for jobsite use. I just never liked the idea of having to carry it around on the jobsite along with all of my other tools. But Timothy Wilmots' modified MFTC (Multi-Function Tool Cart) looks like an ideal way to transport both the MFT and your tools.
There has been a lot of buzz about Track Saws with both DeWalt, and Makita finally coming out with versions for the USA. But I bet many people don't know that you can turn just about any circular saw into a track saw for a fraction of the cost of a complete track saw package all with a kit from EurekaZone. After all, why should you have to buy another circular saw if you already own one, especially if it's a saw you really like? Who needs Festool when you can make a track saw with your own circular...
Do you need a trailer that you can just pull up to the job site and get right to work without having to unload all your tools. The problem with most trailers is the limited access to your tools. If you need something in the back, you have to unload everything in front of it.
