It is usually a sad day when something dies, but today we rejoice at the fact that the purposed table saw safety mandate, here in California, has died. One battle down, but we are still in a war.

Chris   September 06, 2012   0   1
When I am reading about new tools I always think about how these tools will help me on the job. When I see the new sub-compact 2412-20 M12 SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer I think of all the times I had to run hundreds of feet of extension cords so I could drill holes to set door thresholds at hotel jobs. The 2412-20 seems perfectly suited for these types of jobs.

Chris   September 04, 2012   0   4
Almost exactly 3 years ago Makita announced their first 36-volt cordless tool, and today we got word of a new 36-volt rotary hammer that I assume will take its place. There is also news of a new Makita 18-volt rotary hammer that is brushless and even has an on-board HEPA vac option.

Chris   August 31, 2012   0   2
How much power do you really need from an impact driver? Unless you are running lag bolts, you really don't need as much as the top of the line impact drivers offer. You might just need something like Bosch's new IDS181 Impactor, an Impact Driver for driving screws.

Wagner Intros New Electric Internally Fed Paint Roller System
Chris   August 28, 2012   0   1
Professional painters like to use sprayers because they can get the paint onto the walls fast, but they like rollers because they leave the desirable texture on the wall. So to get the best of both you will often see a painter spray first and roll second. The new Smart Power Roller System from Wagner also offers the best of both, but does so with one tool and in one step and at a lower price.
Trim Clip Miter Clip For Tight Miters
Chris   August 27, 2012   0   1
A miter joint that is tight with no gaps is what sets the pro's apart from the amateurs. One way to ensure that your miters are looking their best is to align them with a clamp before you try and nail them together. But you can't just use any clamp, and that's where the Trim Clip Miter Clip comes in.

Not too long ago we saw what happens when a gun and tool enthusiast combines both of his passions; what he came up with was a Glock that was modded to look like a DeWalt 12V Max Drill. This time around we have the flip side to the coin.

A couple of years back I wrote about the Weed Eater One Riding Mower. I really liked the idea of this super compact mower that you could ride and cut your grass with, for people with a small yard. Unfortunately the reviews of the mower started to come in and they were not very good. So now it was my job to try and find you something better.
