UFFY Decorative Nailer TH-T-DECO1

One way to accent upholstery is to add rows of decorative nails around the edges or on the seams. These decorative nails are a nice way to add a bit of contrast, but it takes a long time to hammer in each nail by hand. Normally I would not be writing about upholstery nailers, but Uffy Tools has come out with a pretty cool new Pneumatic Decorative Upholstery Nailer (TH-T-DECO1 ) that accepts loose decorative nails and uses a mini tornado inside the tool to automatically align each nail into the magazine. Watch the video below...

Since Bosch is the company that introduced us to the OIS (Oscillating Interface System) and has set the standard that most of the other brands are following, it seems fitting that they should be the ones to keep the flow of new blades and accessories coming. Titanium is the logical next step.

It looks like the battle of 18V cordless oscillating multi-tools has officially begun. Porter-Cable is taking their oscillating tool design, with tool-less accessory change, to their 18-volt lithium-ion cordless line and is going up against Makita.

One of the problems with cargo racks is that they are designed to fit specific vehicles. So when you want to sell your truck and get a new one, you also have to sell and get a new cargo rack. A new system called TransRACK wants to change all that by giving people the option to by a one size fits all cargo rack that they can move from truck to truck.

DRILL PRESS: A tall, upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and flings your beer across the room, denting the freshly painted project you had carefully set in the corner, where nothing could get to it. WIRE WHEEL: Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them somewhere under the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprints and hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say, "#@$%^&*!" SKILL SAW: A portable cutting tool used...

The Festool SysLite powers a total of six 3-watt LEDs that are said to produce a clear white light capable of brightening an entire room. It has an internal rechargeable battery, but it can also be plugged into the wall for extended use.

The competition surrounding oscillating tools is a view of capitalism as its best. Not only do we have more choices, but we are also getting better features at lower prices. Fein has been reducing their prices ever since, and deals are becoming more common. Now until June 1, 2012 Woodcraft is running a free $20 gift card deal with purchase of the Fein MultiMaster Q. This is the MultiMaster starter kit and also includes the tool-less blade change feature. The MultiMaster Q is currently selling for $199, so the $20 gift card brings...

It doesn't matter if you do woodworking, metalwork, or DIY home repair, one tool that you need to have in your shop is a heavy-duty vise; and when we think vise we think of Wilton. If you have a Wilton vise story, Wilton wants to hear about it. Your story and vise photo could win you $5000; but even of you don't win, Wilton will still give you one of their c-clamps (value $84). Wilton has been around for 71 years now, and there is probably a pretty good chance that you have used one of...
