Thanks to the greed and some trademarking over in the Football League, we can not use the words "Super" and "Bowl" right next to each other. So companies like Fluke have to come up with other ways to let people know that they are giving away two tickets and a trip to see The Big Game.

The "Fluke Football Big Game Sweeps" is just their fancy way of saying that they are having a giveaway to win a trip for two, including: airfare, hotel accommodations for four nights, a rental car, and two tickets to what many consider the hottest sporting event of the year. If you want to be one of the few to see the game without spending a small fortune, here is your chance.

On Tuesdays I wrote about Man vs. Tool, the new video series from ToolBarn.com. In the first episode, 7th degree Tae Kwan Do black belt, Master Kassebaum, goes on a head to head race against the Makita 5377MG 7-1/4” magnesium hypoid circular saw. It was a close race, but Tool ended up winning. Tool - 1, Man - 0.

As a way to kick off the new series, Man Vs. Tool will be giving away the proud and victorious Makita 5377MG used in the video (slightly used). Also included will be a certificate of authenticity that will be signed by the blackbelt - Master Kassebaum and the saw’s operator - Chris Hughes. This is the real deal. MVT is also hinting at a couple surprises as well, but we will have to wait and see.

To enter the giveaway you must head on over to the Man Vs Tool Facebook page and click on their “Like” button. Second, you must leave a comment on the Man vs. Tool Facebook wall post that starts with the words “Official Man vs. Tool Saw Giveaway” between 11am CST August 13th, 2010 and 5pm CST August 25th, 2010. Simple enough. One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entrants.

Channellock recently redesigned their entire website, and to say it looks good is an understatement. Navigation throughout the site has been greatly improved, so much so that it would be hard to make it any better. All of their tools have been broken down into categories that are easily accessible from the main menu. From there you can identify each tool with a large photo and a small description. Clicking on the photo takes you to a page with even greater product details, and the option to buy.

Along with the new website, Channellock has built a new community section called the Channellock Nation. Channellock Nation is a place where Channellock users and fans can come together and share their photos, stories, hopes and dreams, a little Channellock pride, and a lot of American pride. To kick off the new Nation, Channellock is giving away a grand prize of $2500 in Channellock tools and $5000 in cash. They are also giving away 50 first prizes (one for each state) consisting of a Channellock tool roll valued at $100. Summertime, and the livin' is easy... Well if it is so easy, then you should have plenty of time to build and enter the summer woodworking contest over at LumberJocks. A two week vacation with nothing to do except sit at home could get you into trouble.
