There has been a lot of buzz about Track Saws with both DeWalt, and Makita finally coming out with versions for the USA. But I bet many people don't know that you can turn just about any circular saw into a track saw for a fraction of the cost of a complete track saw package all with a kit from EurekaZone. After all, why should you have to buy another circular saw if you already own one, especially if it's a saw you really like? Who needs Festool when you can make a track saw with your own circular saw?

The problem with most hand held flashlights is they take up valuable hand space. It might be just me, but I find it useful to use both of my hands while I am working on projects. This can sometimes be a hard thing to do in the dark while trying to prop up a flashlight.

If only there was a better way.

There is, and its called the Stanley 95-155 3-in-1 Tripod LED Flashlight. From a distance it looks like a normal flashlight, but up close you can see that it also has a built in tripod. Now you can light up your work area hands free. If that is not enough for you, it has a total of 3 lights built into one, with each head able to swivel 120 degrees. Press the release button, and your single flashlight with 3 heads, separates into 3 individual flashlights. Now you can work on 3 projects at once.

Final Cut , is one of those "why didn't I think of that?" products. It is so simple, yet something every finish carpenter or woodworker should have. It is basically a piece of sandpaper attached to the side of a saw blade. Amazing... I know.

You have two choices when deciding what you want. You can buy a 10" Final Cut blade with the sand paper already attached, or you can buy the Final Cut sandpaper for your own 8 1/2" - 12" saw blade. You could probably even use it on a smaller blade, but you would have to cut it to size.

Check out the video below for a great explanation of how to use the Final Cut. One thing that really caught my eye was the fact that you can make fine adjustments after the main cut, by just using the sand paper.

Need to get around the jobsite? To lazy to walk... yeah me too. Maybe the DPX Systems Drill powered mini bike is just what you need. At a sound breaking speed of 15 mph, you will be sure to get where you are going in no time at all. You can buy the whole bike, or have some real fun with the DIY kit. Just imagine what you can motorize.

It is no doubt a cool tool, and probably indispensable to the serious woodworker; but Bridge City Tool Works has to be crazy to charge almost $1300 for this.

I cant wait to see what people come up with for a DIY version of this. How about a  saw in a vise, mounted under a top, with some drawer glides.

Dura-GRIT is one of those "ahhh" tools. Why,  because when I first saw the video of them in action, I said "ahhh"  They are basically tungsten carbide versions of standard rotary cutting and sanding wheels. The video shows you everything, so be sure to take a look.

They are a little expensive at between $10-$15 each, but if they really do everything the video shows, they are probably worth it. If anyone has used these, be sure to leave a review; I am interested to see what they can do. Another interesting product they sell is a carbide sanding disk for your random orbital sander. Maybe with the release of the new oscillating tools from Dremel and Bosch, Dura-GRIT will make some attachments for them. There is always hope.

I stumbled across a link that lead me to Clam Clamps . It is a sweet little clamp that will clamp... well... miters. I have never seen anything like it before, but I am sure it would come in handy. The price is a little high at $75, but if it really does what they say it can do, then maybe it is worth the price. You also have to look beyond trim work. This bad boy looks like it can clamp any wood that has a 45deg miter. For me, this would really come in handy for joining columns together.
