Bosch has announced that they have come out with the new GLL 3-50 three line laser, plus plumb dot. This laser looks to be a smaller cheaper alternative to the GLL 3-80, which uses a more complex optics system to produce three 360-degree planes.
A reader sent in a tip about some sweet Free Bonus Tool promotions (with purchase of select Cordless Combo Kits) going on at HomeDepot. Initially we thought the promotion only applied to Makita and Milwaukee Tools, but it turns out there are DeWalt, Ridgid, Ryobi and Bosch deals as well.
Bosch sent out an email yesterday with a subject line reading "Next big thing is coming!" If you open up the email there is a video (below) that shows the reactions of various contractors after they got their hands on it. In the video we can hear what sounds like an impact driver, but it is what one guy says that suggests it could be something more; "I'd say it's the next best thing... since the impact". He goes on to say "this makes it right here, the impact part of it..."
So what is it, part impact, part what? Or is it just a better impact? Care to take your guess? Bosch will lets us know on 11/11/13 in their big reveal.

I have always looked at the Festool MFT (Multi-Function Table) as great little work table, but not practical for jobsite use. I just never liked the idea of having to carry it around on the jobsite along with all of my other tools. But Timothy Wilmots' modified MFTC (Multi-Function Tool Cart) looks like an ideal way to transport both the MFT and your tools.

In an effort to better organize my home workspace I decided that I needed to get some of my non-work tools out of boxes/bags and into places where I could more easily access the ones I use most.
