You might have seen the Kobalt Magnum Grip Pliers on a TV commercial where they boast that their pliers offer the adjustability of a tongue & groove plier but with the added feature of the jaws always remaining parallel. This means that the jaws have more contact with the nuts or bolts you are gripping, which is said to offer greater gripping power.
The 2-piece set includes a 6-inch and an 8-inch Magnum Grip Plier. The 6-inch plier also features a v-notch jaw that better accepts hex, square, and round objects, while the 8-inch features removable rubber jaw covers for non-marring applications.
I haven't used these pliers myself, but it has pretty good reviews from the Lowe website.

11/23/2012 - We don't see deals like this very often, but this package deal that Amazon is currently running might be too good for you to pass up. I am even thinking about picking up the deal because it is that good.
For under $95 you can get the Bosch PS31-2AL1A which includes the Bosch 12V ⅜-Inch Drill Driver (plus one batteries & charger), which in this case, uses the L-BOXX as its carrying case. This kit also includes an additional L-BOXX1A, and could be used to sort drill bits, screws, fittings etc. And if you are unfamiliar with the L-BOXX system, it s a stackable modular storage system that Bosch sells in a few sizes.
Just buying the two L-BOXX cases alone would add up to almost $95, and the PS31 kit with two batteries sells for $125. You are basically getting a free drill with the purchase of the L-Boxx cases.
Bosch is really pushing out the deals this holiday season, and as long as they do, I am going to keep on writing about them. In addition to their $50 off Select Cordless Combos Deal that is still running, Bosch is also offering $25 off of select Bosch tool purchases of $100 or more.
There are a total of 2,841 tools and accessories that are eligible for this deal, so don’t be fooled by the “select tools” offer labeling. Prices range from under $5 up to $1500. Obviously the tools just at $100 or near there offer the best deal. For the tools that are below $100, you can find another tool or accessory to push the price up. For example a $99 router can be bumped up past the $100 mark with a cheap router bit.
